Jenny Macdonald’s solo play The Tightrope Walker at Dublin’s First Fortnight Festival

Joe collaborated as a dramaturg and director with Jenny Macdonald on her newest solo show, The Tightrope Walker, running as part of Dublin’s First Fortnight Festival, January 9-11, 2025, at the Smock Alley Theatre. With humour and humility, The Tightrope Walker navigates a woman’s journey through the chaotic and profound territory of illness and recovery. It explores the grief inherent in a serious diagnosis, as well as the community and characters who share in the journey. It is a testament to the care and connection we may find in challenging times.
